About SEE 2082

The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) is the national level Grade 10 examination in Nepal, conducted by the National Examinations Board (NEB). Formerly known as the School Leaving Certificate (SLC), this examination determines eligibility for higher secondary education and future academic pathways.

In 2082, more than 512,000 students appeared for the SEE examination, including both regular and grade increment categories . The examination began on April 2, 2026 (2082 Chaitra 19 BS) and ended on April 12, 2026 (2082 Chaitra 29 BS) .

The Ministry of Education has prepared to publish results within one month of the examination completion. Answer sheets are being checked at examination centers themselves to speed up the process, a change from previous years when answer sheets were sent to district and provincial levels .

How to Check SEE Result 2082/2083 via IVR

IVR (Interactive Voice Response) allows you to listen to your result by phone. This service is currently provided by Nepal Telecom.

Steps to check via IVR :

Dial 1600 from your NTC mobile phone or landline. Follow the voice instructions carefully. Enter your symbol number when prompted using your keypad. Listen to your result announced by the automated system.

This method is particularly useful for students who have difficulty reading SMS or accessing websites. Both mobile and landline users can use this service .

 

After SEE Result: What Next?

Once you receive your SEE result, here are the important steps to take.

Download and Save Your Marksheet. Always download the PDF version of your marksheet from an official website. Save it on your phone, computer, and cloud storage. Print at least two physical copies for your records.

Understand Your Grades. The results use a letter grading system (A+, A, B+, B, C+, C, D, or NG). Students must score at least 35 percent in external theoretical exams and 40 percent in internal assessment to pass .

Apply for Grade Improvement if Needed. If you receive an NG (Non Graded) in up to two subjects, you can retake those exams to improve your grade. For NG in more than two subjects, you must retake all exams the following year .

Enroll in Grade 11. After passing SEE, you can apply for higher secondary education (Grade 11) in your chosen stream: Science, Management, Humanities, or Education.

Apply for Re totaling. If you believe your marks need review, you can apply for re totaling within the specified deadline. Results for re totaling are typically published within one month .

Important Notes About Grading

Theoretical and internal assessment marks are both converted to grades using this system .

For subjects with 75 full marks, a minimum of 27 marks is required in the external exam. For subjects with 50 full marks, a minimum of 18 marks is required. For internal assessment of 50 full marks, a minimum of 20 marks is required. For internal assessment of 25 full marks, a minimum of 10 marks is required .

Students receiving an NG in any subject must appear for a grade improvement or supplementary examination to progress to Grade 11 .
